Our Story
It began with Judy.
In 2018, I welcomed a little blue-gray cat into my life and named my new companion Judy. For the next five years, Judy was part of my everyday world. In 2023, Judy passed away after an illness.
Losing Judy changed the way I thought about the things we keep. A photo holds a moment, but I wanted something I could touch and carry: a small reminder of a companion whose place in my heart had not changed. That feeling is at the heart of Pawrelic.
The heart behind our leather-carving studio
I started this leather-carving studio with a simple hope: to give the love we share with our pets a form we can hold onto. With each piece, I want to capture the familiar details in a pet’s photograph and turn them into something personal, shaped by hand and made to stay close.
This work is about honoring companionship in all its forms: celebrating the pets who are with us today and remembering those we have lost. Judy’s memory reminds me why those small details matter. A keepsake can carry a familiar face, and the love behind it.
